Great reaction Stacy. I went to this concert when this video was recorded for their Live After Death album and concert video was filmed. It was my first Iron Maiden concert and still my favorite. I have owned cassette, LP, VHS and DVD copies of this concert at the Long Beach Arena. Iron Maiden is my favorite live metal band.

When I saw Billy play in LA, a number of years ago, he spoke about playing in a bar in Long Beach & just *knowing* that a song was going to come out of it.

I wanted to mention that the likely reason that the bass player is usually singing along with Bruce is because he writes the vast majority of their lyrics. Just throwing that out there if that helps. Namaste

Nice reaction! 👍 Surely the bass guitarist loves this song, he is "the boss" and he's written it! 😅 He is such an amazing underrated song writer - I don't see people who are experts in music mentioning his name when they talk about the best rock song writers! And, as a bass guitarist, he is awesome, too! He and Geddy Lee (Rush) are the world's greatest bass guitarists, in my opinion. You said you were impressed by the drummer's performance; I'm gonna tell you a funny story: when I got to know Iron Maiden, I was a teenager and they had just released their 4th album, "Piece of mind", and me and my school mates, we had loved their previous albums, "Killers" and "The Number of the beast" and we used to comment Maiden had such a good drummer - Clive Burr, who left the band just before "Piece of mind", and I remember we asked "Who is this Nicko McBrain? He's got such a weird name!" Today I gotta tell you I've seen Maiden live in Rock in Rio 2021 and in Rock in Rio 2022, when Nicko's performances made me believe he is the best drummer live! Referring to the lyrics, I don't know if you know, Bruce is graduated in History - it probably helps when composing songs about events and civilizations. So, I recommend for you to react to: "Alexander the great"; "The flight of Icarus"; "The clansman"; "Powerslave"; "Aces High"; "Phantom of the opera". I also recommend those hits I love the most: "Wasted years"; "Infinite dreams"; "Stranger in a strange land"; "The prisoner". Nice journey for you and, as you're already a Maiden's fan...up the irons! 🤘

When Coleridge was a student and one of his teachers was an ex sailor on James Cook 3rd voyage to the Pacific, he would tell the students stories of his time in the navy. These stories always intrigued young Coleridge, leading him to write the poem. This has been proven in Cooks journal of the voyage. It was researched by a professor from the University of Sydney.

Watch 22 Acacia Avenue live in Dortmund in 1983. One of the best live performances of Iron Maiden. The bass is out of this world.

I saw Iron Maiden on this Powerslave tour in 1984 (I was 16)....Twisted Sister opened for them when I saw them (Minneapolis), but Queensryche also opened for then on a lot of that tour.

They are amazing live in concert. I saw them on this tour back in the day. They are touring the U.S. this year. You need go see them.

Saw them live way back in 1982 as a 13 year old in a small theatre in Melbourne Australia and they blew the roof off. Saw them again in early 85.

I think their best collaboration so far is F*ckboi with Conquer Divide, it’s pretty short but great! Another great song featuring Nico is called Pizza Homicide by Samurai Pizza Cats, which is a side band of the guitarist from EC.

A good one by Billy Joel is _'Innocent Man.'_ A song that has been applicable to a couple of girls I dated in the past who just couldn't shake their bitterness.

You should see them this tour. The drummer is over 70, the rest are over 60 and two members have had cancer. I don't know how many tours they have left. Hopefully, it will go on forever.
